Testing Items
Testing items has been ruining the Guild Wars economy for as long as I can remember and a stop should be put to it. People can test there items for just about any mod and sell off there bad items unidentified...How does that make the game fun? You have people who test like 100 unid items, id the good ones, and sell off the bad ones that have under a +14% damage mod.
Testing is well known since you can easily do it without any software...all that would have to be done is that a weapon should not have mods until it is unid.

Anet wont change it as the sweatshop farmers / bots will sell unided again. If they prevent testing they can sell any golds unided and make tons. Now they have to id as there is no unided market and most of the time the gold item will be crap.

Then why buy any unidentified weapons? If testing is so well known and prevolent, the seller's must be having a heck of a time finding buyers for their crap.
That being said, I am all for removing an unidentified item's "testablility".

If they are worried about bots ruining the game if they take out a feature that is basically cheating and ruining the economy AreaNet is not putting enough effort in to fix the game...Perhaps i should start playing WoW (JOKES I DONT MMO AND SELDOMLY PLAY GUILD WARZ) since Blizzard actually attempts to take care of hackers (Which they have done an excellent job of in Warcraft 3)
What I basically mean by this thread is::::
If a newer player finds a Gold Req 8 Chaos Axe and want to sell it for 50k or something they should be able to without players thinking they tested it so not buying it...it would help the economy for newer players and make FoW expecially a better and funner place to farm.

Maybe the new player should learn about testing...
Ignorence of a feature is not an excuse.

Or testing suddenly is no longer possible and sweatshop farmers take up chest running and get thousands of gold items which they sell for thousands of gold. It would be like the days of going into la 1 and having monks go up to you constantly offering unided items for inflated prices. It was a nightmare. They were tested aswell but not everyone knew about it. At least at the moment the farmers are limited to elona and drok which is not good for gold.
I couldnt care less about a new player finding an item unided. It would never sell for 50k anyway. Some dude ages ago did not test his weapons as people were finding incredible stuff from iding them. He sold unided chaos axes for 12k each and that was when chaos axes cost way more than they do. You can pick up a perfect chaos axe for like 100k so I dont think a newb could ever sell it for 50k.

I bought some unid's off one of those koreans in tombs (back when tombs was pvp) and about half of them were 14^ or 15^ with some decent mods... Really wasn't a bad deal imo.
